I was in Bangkok thirty-six years ago in January of 1978 (not 37 years ago like the video). This footage from the year before reminds me very much of the street scenes that I saw and of scenes from boats gliding through the canals. I may have been a tourist with bad pants, however; they probably did not wait until the 2010s to start arriving.
